A Culinary Inspiration Lead Whisky Maker Sarah Burgess drew on her fond memories of Hogmanay to create a whisky that evokes the flavors of “first footing”—the tradition of being the first person to cross a friend’s threshold after midnight. The selection of American and European sherry-seasoned oak casks, combined with American ex-bourbon barrels, delivers a rich, sweet shortbread-like character that is synonymous with the Scottish festive season.
