Weeks of heavy snowfall caused the roofs of several warehouses to collapse, leaving maturing casks exposed to the freezing Scottish winter sky. Malt Master Brian Kinsman and his team rushed to rescue the casks, selecting the finest Oloroso sherry and American oak ex-bourbon casks from the wreckage. Instead of just re-housing them, Kinsman created a one-of-a-kind whisky to commemorate the event: the Snow Phoenix.
A Unique Marriage This unrepeatable bottling is a marriage of whiskies of different ages and cask types. The extreme cold during the collapse naturally chilled the spirit, and the resulting blend was crafted without chill-filtration to preserve its exceptionally rich and complex character.
